Stella is a product manager and digital cartographer, who delivers innovative geospatial products for government and the private sector.
She leads diverse teams to support clients with all stages of the product development lifecycle, from strategy to design and implementation.
Specialising in greenfield projects, clients choose her when they want fresh ideas that challenge the status quo. Her digital products have been used by 100+ organisations and 100,000+ users across Australia and New Zealand.
Stella is a geographer at heart, and passionate about the potential of applying a location perspective to problem solving and storytelling. She regularly volunteers with GeoRabble and speaks about GIS at events, and to anyone that will listen.
With a multidisciplinary background covering product management, market analysis, GIS, and publishing, she brings a unique creative and technical skillset to projects.
She founded Cartisan in 2018, a Sydney based product development agency, with the aim of reducing the barriers decision makers encounter when engaging with location data and technology. She believes that by making data-driven approaches more accessible, decision makers can have greater impact. Combined with new technology, that impact can be faster and scaled to widespread effect.
